Pieces 4 and 5

We successfully placed two Pieces of Plumey yesterday!

Piece 4: Williams Lake, B.C.

Memory #4:

He LOVED cars, and knew them inside and out. Even as a toddler he could identify various parts of an engine. The first project car he ever bought on his own was a 1968 Ford Galaxie that he called “The Redhead” or “The Other Woman.”

We placed the fifth Piece of Plumey in Dawson Creek as we passed through....

Piece 5: Dawson Creek, B.C.

Memory #5:

Every time he went camping his wife would pack him one shirt for each day. Unfortunately for everyone else, he would refuse to change his shirt for the entire trip. Usually his shirt of choice was an old orange one that said “Crusty’s Pest Control” on it.

Today we are headed for Liard Hot Springs and then on to Whitehorse!

  1. Always good times camping with Justin and you...the only guy in the girls tent. Ugh and THAT shirt!!! Lol. Looks like you guys are having a blast.

  2. Oooooh! Hot Springs! Sounds like fun. You'd better do double jumps and splashing in memory of Justin. Nobody could match the water he could splash out of a pool. Do you remember the time he and Tim scared all those teenage girls in Ellensburg when they raced yelling at the top of their lungs toward the pool and did cannon balls together? They left a little water in the pool, but not much. It didn't take the girls long to get over it and challenge the mighty twosome. Fun times :)

Girls, before you decide to sleep in that tent, please remember how many bears there are in the Yukon Territory. This is your MOTHER speaking. Amber, did you bring your BEAR mace? Love you, Mama Peggy xoxo

  3. I am sooo glad that you guys are having such a blast!!! And I laughed so hard thinking of Justin camping and wearing that stinking shirt. Remember that time we went camping and us girls came in later and he got so mad at you for being soooo loud?! Only, by him getting mad, we got louder. Gosh, I'm gonna miss those times so much!!!
Have fun at the hot springs eat lots of good things...since that's definitley what Justin would be doing!

  4. Oh TOO FUNNY! First about the Cocoa puffs then the splashing...hmm...when the boys were little they would love to eat a big bowl of Cocoa Puffs while watching cartoons...what's the big deal?..
THEY got to do it while SOAKING & SPLASHING in Gramma and Bub's HOT TUB! Yep, Gramma would bring the portable tv out on the patio and they would play til they were pruney! OXOXO! Nanny

  5. I forgot something about the memory of the splash Tim and Justin made in Ellensburg, Wa, when they scared all those teenage girls. Tim pointed out that Joshua also jumped in with them. Sorry I forgot, Josh. No wonder there was so no water left. :)

The first time I ever ran a raft alone down a river was with Justin, Jim his Dad, and Donna. I didn't even get through the first set of rapids before everyone was out of the boat and in the river (Wapanitia). I can't remember if Justin ever got in with me guiding a boat again or not (just kidding). He got me back really well last year when he dumped me in the same rapids with your little kayak raft (bonding moments). Mama Peggy xoxo
