Today's piece is a little different because in order to really appreciate the memory, you have to know specifically where in Seattle we placed it. That is where it became complicated for us. But before explaining what I mean, enjoy today's memory....
Piece 3: Seattle, WA
Memory #3:
He was a football kind of guy. The Seahawks were his boys. He never gave up on them, but many times he was on his knees begging them to step it up. He went to many games, but his favorite was a trip with friends to Seattle on the train to see the Seahawks play the Cardinals. The Seahawks were obliterated, but he loved it anyway.

We were determined to leave our Piece of Plumey at Qwest Field, in remembrance of Justin's mad love for the Seahawks. At first we thought we would put the bottle somewhere near the stadium, but it quickly became clear with all the garbage and recycling bins, that it would look like trash and be discarded. In order to give proper honor to this memory, we decided it needed to be put somewhere inside the stadium where a person would recognize it to be something special.
The only way to get into the stadium was to buy a ticket to the Sounders soccer game that was currently in progress....
For a whopping $10 I purchased a ticket, headed in to the crowded stadium, and found a fantastic spot for the third Piece of Plumey.
It was an adventure, but tomorrow the real adventure begins as we leave Seattle and head north into Canada and toward placing our fourth Piece of Plumey!

Wow! Now that's determination! It looks like an excellent spot. Hopefully no soccer players will kick it around. (punt intended) What time are we leaving for Canada? Love you, Mama Peggy xoxo
ReplyDeleteHopefully your havin better weather than us... Just remember Second Star to the right and straight on till morning..
ReplyDeleteThis man with Amber is the ticket scalper whose life I threatened if he took our money and Amber couldn't get it...he got to be in the picture so that when Amber's ticket was rejected, I could hunt him down :)
ReplyDeleteIt was a fun day with friends...so glad everyone was able to share it with us!
