Pieces 1 and 2

We have started our quest to drop off our Pieces of Plumey along our trip! Today we did two bottles with two special memories of Justin.

Piece #1: Portland, OR
Memory #1:

The man loved his breakfast. Cocoa Puffs at home, I.H.O.P. when out. His wife was always trying to get him to enjoy “gourmet” breakfast restaurants. He would either kick and scream until he got his old favorite, or if he did concede to her wishes, he would point out everything about the restaurant that was “not as cool as I.H.O.P.”

Piece #2: Longview, WA

Memory #2:

He met his wife when they were only 12 years old. They were truly best friends. He always treated her with love and respect, and he would do anything for her. Not that they didn’t argue. Once, while whitewater rafting, they flipped their boat. Both came up out of the water holding the same paddle, and both swore it was theirs. After they got home, he made his work buddies help him look at pictures of their spill online to see who was right. And yes, if you must know, his wife lost her paddle.

Can't wait to place Piece #3, because it is one of our fondest memories of Plumey's team.

  1. Do you remember when you two came down to visit me for the weekend and he wouldn't stop asking to go to IHOP for breakfast? We of course refused to go because we didn't know where one was and there were MUCH better places to eat in Portland. After we went to Grand Central bakery, and Justin inhaled your breakfast and another order, he was forced to admit that it was probably "as good as IHOP." On the way back to the apt, we just so happened to drive by an IHOP and Justin yells at me "YOU DID THAT ON PURPOSE!!" He was so serious that we just stared at him and then laughed and laughed.
